A View From the Mizpah

I woke up this morning with a spiritual sense of the unrest going on in the world. Visually, it was like an transparent outer shell detached but hovering over the earth. I want to keep up with current events because it allows me to see and gauge the signs of the times. However, it is important not to fixate on them. In all their horror and evil they are magician's tricks; sleight of hand, illusions, trickery, and deceptions with a single purpose to divert our attention away from trusting our God. Within the Body of Christ we must be hyper aware of that but even more so the warring within and amongst ourselves. Petty quarrels, offenses, jealousies/envies, the like and worse, are all designed with one agenda and that is to deflect our attention from the purposes we each have in the Father. In a military analogy the obvious frontal attack is a distraction for the real assault coming from the rear and flanks. Because we are an army, we need unity to repel the enemy and know what, where, and how to fight the battle. (Please read Eph. 6:10-18) Where is our battle? What is the area in our mind that needs renewing? Where is the error or sin we are believing. Where do we need to surrender to the Holy Spirit to win the war that satan wages against us, individually and corporately? The Lord is calling us with instruction to Col.4:2 Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving. Stay on top and be on the offensive rather than having to fight a defensive battle. We are the victors so lets behave that way. Pick up your Sword of the Spirit and Attack, Attack. Attack! Be the prayer warrior we are ALL called to be. Prayer is not just for the few, the proud, the intercessors. It's for ALL the Body of Christ. So come be all you can be and join the army, the Army of God.
